In this blog entry I will address “Jock Taxes” and issues I find most interesting in this highly controversial area and seminal considerations that must be made in determining a "Jock Tax’s" viability. Among the considerations regarding the 14th Amendment of the United States Constitution, and a potential protected class determination for athletes and entertainers; State and Federal Statutory Law, Federal Common Law, and potential solutions and opportunities for expansion of “Jock Taxes” to States with no tax on wages.
